The Weeknd added another streaming record to his long list of achievements as he became the artist with the most songs over one billion streams on Spotify this week.

With “After Hours,” the title track of his 2020 album, reaching one billion streams, the Weeknd now has 18 total songs in Spotify’s Billions Club. Drake, an artist who gave the Weeknd a cosign early in his career but who has feuded with the R&B singer in more recent years, slips into second place with 17 songs.

Other songs by the Weeknd that have joined the Billions Club include “Blinding Lights,” “Can’t Feel My Face,” “Starboy” and “One of the Girls,” a track with Blackpink’s Jennie and Lily-Rose Depp from his short-lived HBO series, The Idol. “Blinding Lights” also holds the record as the most-streamed song on Spotify, with more than 4.4 billion streams.

The Weeknd is currently gearing up for the release of his sixth studio album, Hurry Up Tomorrow. A release date has not been announced yet, but the Toronto R&B star released its lead single, “Dancing in the Flames,” earlier this month.
