Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill is ready to spend big to clear up ongoing rumors surrounding his name and hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. Late last night, Meek took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce a $100,000 reward for an investigative team to uncover why fans and media outlets continue to link him to Diddy.
In a follow-up tweet, Meek suggested a possible conspiracy was at play. “The streets know wassup with me thats not the case,” he said. “We talking about business side, somebody powering these bad campaigns [shrug emoji] with ‘meeek mill’ again I got 100k for a thorough investigation of who’s powering and how exactly my name connect to this…”
Speculation has been swirling around Meek and Diddy ever since a photo surfaced online showing the two rappers in matching shirts at an event. Also in the photo was actor Peter Dinklage, further fueling fan curiosity about what took place that night.
The rumors around Meek’s relationship with Diddy have intensified in recent months. According to Billboard, earlier this year, DJ Akademiks, a popular rap blogger and streamer, alleged that Meek’s name was redacted in a lawsuit involving Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones.
The claim led to a heated response from Meek, who accused Akademiks of trying to tarnish his reputation, saying, “stop playing with [his] name” and calling him “an alcoholic fully powered by the White man.”
Despite the public speculation, Meek seems determined to uncover the truth behind the media narratives linking him to Diddy, offering a sizable reward to get to the bottom of the matter.
