A delegation of accredited female ambassadors to Ghana paid a courtesy visit to Vice President H.E. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman on February 4, 2025.
Led by Ambassador Dr. Erieka Bennett, Founder of the official Embassy for the 6th Region of Africa and Head of Mission for DAF, the group included representatives from Morocco, Peru, Barbados, Canada, Rwanda, Mexico, Suriname, the United Arab Emirates, and Equatorial Guinea.
The meeting marked a significant moment in Ghana’s development, as the female ambassadors reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the country’s growth and empowering its youth. Ambassador Dr. Bennett presented a proposal for the DAF Youth Empowerment and Training Center (DAFYETC), an initiative dedicated to equipping young people with essential skills in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

In a generous gesture, the DAFYETC pledged 20 scholarships to the Vice President, paving the way for a brighter future for Ghana’s young people. The center is now open for training, focusing on digital skills acquisition and employability enhancement. This initiative aligns with global efforts to promote digital inclusion and bridge the gap in ICT skills among young people.
The meeting concluded on a high note, with all parties expressing enthusiasm for future collaborations and mutual support. As these female ambassadors continue to work together, their collective efforts will undoubtedly have a profound impact on Ghana’s development and the empowerment of its youth.
