Vanessa Bryant brought a spirit of generosity during a donation drive over the weekend. While an outpouring of philanthropic efforts was seen in-person and online as the homes of residents of the Palisades, Altadena, Malibu, and other areas were destroyed, Bryant attended the LA Strong Essentials Distribution on Friday, January 17 in efforts to restore the lives of wildfire victims.
In a video reel posted to Instagram, Bryant, the wife of late NBA powerhouse Kobe Bryant and mother to late student-athlete Gianna “Gigi” Bryant, was seen donating 8,000 pieces of clothing and sneakers to attendees at BMO Stadium.
“Today, @MambaMambacitaSports took our first step in supporting children and families that had to evacuate their homes due to the LA fires,” Bryant captioned the post, referencing her nonprofit organization. “Over 8,000 pieces of apparel and sneakers were donated to families in need for the LA Strong Essentials Distribution today.”
