Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday visited the Bob Marley Museum in Kingston during his official visit to Jamaica, highlighting the strong cultural and historical ties between the two countries.
President Mahama was accompanied by Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Michael Holness as they toured the museum, which is located at the former home of the late reggae legend Bob Marley.
During the visit, the Ghanaian president joined a video call with Cedella Marley, Chief Executive Officer of the Bob Marley Group of Companies, and Dr Alferita “Rita” Marley, Bob Marley’s wife and a respected reggae singer.
They exchanged greetings, blessings, and messages of goodwill in a moment that reflected the close relationship between Ghana and Jamaica.
The visit celebrated the shared heritage of the two nations and their long-standing cultural connection, which has been strengthened by the global influence of Bob Marley’s music and message.
The Bob Marley Museum is one of Jamaica’s best-known cultural landmarks. It attracts visitors from around the world and preserves the legacy of the music icon, whose songs continue to promote peace, unity, freedom, and social justice.
President Mahama’s visit formed part of his official engagements in Jamaica, aimed at deepening relations between Ghana and the Caribbean nation.
