Rochester hosted the 15th annual Pan Africans Festival Saturday at the Highland Bowl.

The goal of the event is to celebrate the heritage and culture of all people from the African diaspora.

The event included music, art, dance, spoken-word literature, food and more.

“There’s a plethora of information regarding our history and our culture of people of African diaspora,” organizer Sonya Kittles said. “We have wonderful vendors selling amazing clothes, we have food vendors — a lot of food — and then we have live performances.”

The festival also celebrated 50 years of hip-hop, with headliners Kwame and Chubb Rock.
