Despite the dissolution of the adidas Yeezy partnership in 2022, Kanye West is showing no signs of slowing down. After releasing the Yeezy Pods and SL-01 Yeezy Slipper, West is now teasing his first bonafide Yeezy shoe, the BL-01 or “Bullys.”
The “Bullys” sneaker marks a new direction for West’s independent imprint, with a more robust construction than its predecessors. The shoe features plush panels in a monochrome black profile, interrupted by curvilinear mesh cutouts. Notably, the “Bullys” retain the slip-on design of the Pod and SL-01, eschewing a traditional lacing system.
West took to Instagram to tease the new sneaker, showcasing its minimalist design and functional features. The shoe’s simplified tread and parallel rubber grooves on the outsole continue West’s focus on function-first design.
