In a remarkable display of unity and style, Dallas played host to an inspiring gathering of more than 250 Black men on September 23rd.
This event, aptly named “FlashMob,” was orchestrated by Black Menswear, a Dallas-based cultural impact agency known for its mission to connect global brands with African American men. It was not just a visually striking moment, but a movement designed to shine a spotlight on the often-understated excellence of Black men, as reported by Dallas’s 97.9 The Beat.
NeAndre Broussard, the CEO and Founder of Black Menswear, emphasized the significance of holding the FlashMob in Dallas, the city where it all began.
He stated, “The first FlashMob was held in 2017 in Las Colinas, and now we returned to the city where it all began — even bigger and more intentional than before. With the newly gained support of the Dallas Mavericks organization, we believe that Black Menswear will be able to reach more audiences and create even more impact for the community that we love and serve.”
One of the highlights of this event was a suit drive conducted in collaboration with the Dallas Mavericks and their mascot, Champ. This drive aimed to collect new and gently used suits, along with belts, ties, shoes, and accessories, all for the benefit of local youth.

Sean Reed, the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility with the Dallas Mavericks, stressed the importance of supporting organizations like Black Menswear, stating, “It is important for the Dallas Mavericks to support and partner with organizations that combat inequities, challenge the status quo, and drive change.”
“Too many children of color have grown up with limited positive representation in the news and media. So, this is a perfect opportunity to combat that and spread positive images of Black Men.”
Black Menswear, an international collective of Black men, is on a mission to reshape society’s perception of Black men and foster positivity within the Black community.
Their overarching goal is to challenge negative stereotypes and portray Black men in a more positive light, countering the often-unfavorable portrayals seen in mainstream media. The collective encompasses a diverse range of individuals, including celebrities, social media influencers, professionals, educators, mentors, and more.
