This exceptional feat did not go unnoticed, catching the attention of Ghanaian President Akufo-Addo, who awarded him a scholarship to pursue his passion for Economics and Business Finance at Brunel University in London, United Kingdom (UK).

Thomas Amoani’s academic prowess continued to shine at Brunel University, where he not only excelled but emerged as the top student in the Department of Economics and Business Finance. His journey in the UK began with an impressive performance in the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), securing 8 As and paving the way for a scholarship that would bring him global academic recognition. 

Professional and Extracurricular Achievements: 

In his final year at Brunel University, Thomas, specializing in applying economic theory and statistical programming tools to analyze policies and their societal impact, describes himself on LinkedIn. Fluent in both English and French, he aspires to build a career as a macroeconomist. 

Beyond academics, Thomas has demonstrated commitment to community service and professional development. As an Event Assistant at School Space, a social enterprise renting out school spaces for events, he ensures the smooth operation of customer bookings and provides face-to-face customer service. His prior role as a Mental Health Support Worker at Clear Sight Care reflects his dedication to aiding those in need. 

Thomas’s leadership skills shine through his roles as a student ambassador at Brunel Pathway College and as an Economics Outreach Champion for the Discover Economics Initiative. He actively contributes to informative and interactive workshops for high school students, showcasing his passion for economics and commitment to sharing knowledge.
