Two persons have been arrested over the death of US National at Nyinasen, Ghana

The two suspects, Wisdom Sete, a Togolese, and Yussif Afrim, were arrested on Friday 19th April 2024 at Assin Prasso for their involvement in the alleged murder of Naomi Jehubiyah.

According to a preliminary Police investigation, Wisdom Sete, who is believed to be the fiancée of the deceased, allegedly conspired with Yussif Afrim to kill Naomi Jehubiyah.

The body has since been deposited at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for preservation and autopsy.

Two vehicles belonging to the deceased have been retrieved from the suspects who are currently in custody assisting Police investigations.

Naomi, an 80-year-old Ghanaian born and raised in the USA resides in Cape Coast, had plans to settle down with one of the suspects, Wisdom Sete.

Reports indicate that Naomi had generously gifted Wisdom a car, but he harbored desires for a Toyota Vitz, leading to a dispute between them. This disagreement escalated tragically when Wisdom allegedly took the life of Naomi and buried her in his backyard. Furthermore, he was purportedly planning to flee to Kumasi with his accomplice, Yussif, to evade justice.

However, law enforcement authorities intervened just in time, apprehending the suspects as they attempted to make their escape to Kumasi.
