THE UPCOMING WeAfric Product Progress Update & Networking Event on May 13th, 2023, presents an opportunity to address some of the challenges faced by the African and African Caribbean diaspora communities.

These challenges range from limited access to resources, underrepresentation in society, disconnection from cultural heritage, and limited job opportunities, to difficulties building strong networks and communities. Unfortunately, these factors have contributed to a decline in trust and fragmentation, negatively impacting the physical, social, emotional, mental, and financial well-being of the African diaspora community.

WeAfric, a networking platform founded in 2020 by four African diaspora professionals, was born from a shared desire to unlock the boundless potential in the community and break down barriers to progress and provide a solution to these challenges. The platform offers integrated digital and non-digital services and products designed to empower individuals, families, students, professionals, and businesses to compete in today’s rapidly evolving world. Additionally, WeAfric aims to bring together historical and continental African, African-Caribbean, and African-American communities in one trusted ecosystem.

As our first event approaches, we are excited to announce our Product Progress Update & Networking Event on May 13th, 2023. The event will feature a keynote address from Lizo Ngqobongwana, a seasoned entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in healthcare.

Alongside Ngqobongwana, there will be guest speakers from diverse backgrounds, including a comic book creator, a journalist, an inventor, and a software engineer, who will share their experiences and insights.

Beyond networking opportunities, the event will offer a relaxed atmosphere with music and light refreshments, making it an excellent opportunity for attendees to unwind and connect. Importantly, the event is open to everyone interested in learning more about the African and African Caribbean diaspora and connecting with others in the community. By coming together, sharing ideas, and collaborating, the WeAfric community believes that they can create a better future for the diaspora communities.
