Ever since Doechii became a musical superstar thanks to her Grammy-winning mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal, fans new and old have been waiting for new music. The hip-hop talent has shared a song or two since promoting Alligator Bites Never Heal, but so far, there’s been no word about a new era beginning.
Just before 2025 turned to 2026, Doechii released a new song titled “Girl, Get Up.” Whether or not the track is the first taste of an upcoming project or simply a standalone cut (which seems likely, as it’s part of an ongoing series of releases she’s been working on for some time) is yet to be seen, but what is clear is that “Girl, Get Up.” is already a hit in America — a No. 1 hit, in fact.
“Girl, Get Up.” Debuts at No. 1
“Girl, Get Up.,” a collaboration between Doechii and SZA, debuts on a pair of Billboard charts this week. Both of the tallies the duet reaches are built solely around purchases, as fans of the two acts rushed to buy “Girl, Get Up.” on platforms like iTunes and Amazon. The track launches at No. 7 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart and opens in first place on the Rap Digital Song Sales tally.
Doechii Scores Her First Rap Leader
Doechii scores her first No. 1 on the Rap Digital Song Sales chart, leading the charge on her fourth attempt. Before this week, the highest that Doechii had climbed on the Rap Digital Song Sales tally was No. 3, where “Denial Is a River” peaked. Doechii also cracked the top 10 with both “Anxiety” – the version fronted by Sleepy Hallow – as well as “Alter Ego,” a collaboration with hip-hop talent JT.
Doechii’s Sales Smashes
Over on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart, Doechii has claimed one additional hit, and her sole No. 1 is a different tune. The solo version of “Anxiety,” which Doechii released years ago and which became suddenly popular after her star-making performance at the Grammy Awards earlier in 2025, debuted in first place on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales roster in May 2025.
Both “Denial Is a River” and “Anxiety” with Sleepy Hallow also launched on the chart last year, peaking at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively. Doechii landed on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales ranking for the first time alongside Kodak Black, as the two sent “What It Is (Block Boy)” to No. 12 back in the spring of 2023.
Doechii Joins Lil Uzi Vert and Michael Jackson

Just two tracks debut on the Rap Digital Song Sales chart this week. Lil Uzi Vert starts “What You Saying” in third place, while tunes by musicians like Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, and Pitbull return to the ranking.
SZA Also Hits No. 1 for the First Time

SZA also collects her first leader on the Rap Digital Song Sales chart. “Girl, Get Up.” beats “Luther,” her hugely successful collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, by just one space, as that Grammy-nominated smash missed out on ruling by a single spot. Two other collaborations, “Rich Baby Daddy” with Drake and Sexyy Red as well as “I Do” alongside Cardi B, peaked at Nos. 4 and 7, respectively.
SZA’s R&B Sales Wins Keep Adding Up
Over on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart, SZA’s roundup of wins is far more impressive. Both “Kill Bill” and “I Hate U” spent one frame ruling, and they are counted among her 21 top 10 hits.
Over on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales roster, the tally looks markedly different from last week, as a number of Christmassy R&B cuts disappear. Doechii and SZA claim the second-loftiest launch behind “Is It a Crime,” a collaboration by Mariah The Scientist and Kali Uchis, while “What You Saying” from Lil Uzi Vert and Michael Jackson’s “You Rock My World” also appear on the roster for the first time. Other stars like Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, and even Eminem return now that the list is not nearly as competitive as it was only a few days ago.
