Ghanaian actor, comedian and broadcaster Kwame Dzokoto has reportedly passed away after collapsing during a panel discussion at Owass Radio in Tarkwa, according to Citi News.
Reports indicate that the entertainer was transported to a medical facility in the Western Region town but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
A source reportedly linked to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), with which he was affiliated, confirmed the news.
However, the circumstances behind his sudden collapse remain unclear.
Dzokoto earned considerable recognition in Ghana’s showbiz industry through his humorous performances and television appearances, particularly in the popular series Efiewura.
He also gained prominence as presenter of TV3’s Edziban, a programme that showcased traditional Ghanaian dishes, restaurants and the nation’s diverse culinary heritage.
Apart from his media career, the entertainer pursued a political ambition under the NDC.
He stood for election in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem constituency during the 2016 general polls but was defeated by George Mireku Duker of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Throughout his professional journey, Dzokoto served in various broadcasting roles before taking on managerial responsibilities, while remaining connected to the media landscape.
In September 2026, he responded to concerns about his wellbeing, revealing that he was recuperating following surgery performed overseas, reportedly with financial assistance from Ghanaian businessman Ibrahim Mahama.
He had previously refuted claims circulating about his death.
