Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has announced a 24-player squad for Ghana’s upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures and an international friendly against Morocco.
Tottenham Hotspur forward Mohammed Kudus makes his return after recovering from an injury that ruled him out of Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign and kept him sidelined for seven months.
Experienced defender Alexander Djiku has also been recalled, alongside Brighton & Hove Albion’s Ibrahim Osman and Sassuolo midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana.
Nathaniel Adjei earns a return to the national team after nearly a year away.
The Lorient centre-back has impressed in the French Ligue 1, earning recognition from the Portuguese tactician.
Queiroz has also handed opportunities to SV Elversberg defender Jan Gyamerah and New York Red Bulls midfielder Ronald Donkor following their encouraging displays at club level.

Goalkeepers Benjamin Asare of Accra Hearts of Oak, Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Joseph Anang retain their places after featuring in Ghana’s recent international setup.
The Black Stars will open their campaign against Côte d’Ivoire on Thursday, September 24, before welcoming The Gambia to the Accra Sports Stadium five days later.
Ghana will conclude the window with a friendly against Morocco on Sunday, October 4, in the North African country.
The fixtures are expected to give Queiroz further insight into his squad as preparations continue for the 2027 AFCON qualifying campaign.
