His Excellency Jean Matho Dore, the Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea to Ghana, paid a courtesy visit to Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, to formally announce the end of his tenure in Ghana.
During the meeting yesterday, Honourable Ablakwa praised Ambassador Dore for his significant role in enhancing the ties of friendship between Ghana and Guinea, which are deeply rooted in Pan-African ideals.
He reminisced about the strong diplomatic relations established by the founding leaders of both nations, His Excellency Dr. Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana and His Excellency Ahmed Sékou Touré of Guinea. The Minister reiterated Ghana’s commitment to preserving this bond through various collaborative initiatives.
Ambassador Dore expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the warm welcome he received from both the Government and citizens of Ghana throughout his time in office.

He outlined the progress being made by his government under the Simandou 2040 initiative and emphasized Guinea’s eagerness to partner with Ghana in key sectors such as education and agriculture.
He noted a marked increase in private sector interactions between the two countries during his tenure and affirmed Guinea’s intention to further elevate its relationship with Ghana.
