Iran Prepared For Prolonged Conflict With US, Official Says

Foreign Policy Advisor to the Supreme Leader, Kamal Kharazi, has stated that Iran is prepared for an extended conflict with the United States and Israel, asserting that only economic hardship will bring it to a conclusion.

‎In an exclusive interview with CNN yesterday, he indicated that Iran is willing to target Gulf countries in an effort to persuade them to urge President Donald Trump to de-escalate the situation.

‎”I believe there is no longer any opportunity for diplomacy, as Donald Trump has been misleading others and failing to uphold his commitments. We have witnessed this during two negotiation periods, where, despite being in talks, they took action against us,” Kharazi stated.

‎He stressed that there would be no possibility for resolution unless significant economic pressure is applied, compelling other countries to intervene to ensure an end to the aggression from Americans and Israelis. The ongoing conflict has created considerable economic strain on other nations, affecting oil supply, driving inflation, and leading to energy shortages.

‎Kharazi ended that, it is the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s duty to oversee the country’s defense capabilities. He emphasized that just as Ayatollah Khamenei fulfilled this role, the new leader will continue to do so.

‎Since the conflict was initiated by the US and Israel, Iran has conducted a series of strikes on various countries throughout the Middle East including Qatar, United Arab Emirate, and Saudi Arabia.
