Ghanaian Football Players’ Luxury Watches Stolen From A Hotel In Vienna

According to Austin authorities, two Ghanaian soccer players who are in Vienna for a friendly match against the Austrian national team on Friday claimed that an expensive watch had been taken from their hotel.

A Vienna police spokesperson claims the Rolex watches in addition to an undisclosed amount of money were taken from two different hotel rooms in Vienna’s 22nd district, which is adjacent to the area where the game is taking place.

The police spokesperson stated that there was no violence, however they did not name the players or the hotel. An inquiry for comment was not immediately answered by the Ghana Football Association.

These kinds of events are quite uncommon in the capital of Austria. Due to its low crime rate, Vienna often ranks among the cities with the best quality of life in the world.

Ghana and Austria have earned a spot in this year’s World Cup, which will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico beginning in June.
