US YouTuber MrBeast Funds Million School And Water Project In Ghana

American YouTuber MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson is being talked about across Ghana after spending $1 million on projects in one community. Reports say he has been given an honorary title, “Chief of Development,” in recognition of his work.

The project included a brand-new classroom block to replace an old school building that had become unsafe for children. The old structure was pulled down, and a modern block was put up in its place. The new building can take more than 250 pupils and comes with desks and other basic furniture. For students who once studied in a weak and worn-out space, the change is clear.

Water was another major problem. To fix this, a borehole was drilled to provide clean drinking water for both the school and nearby homes. In areas where families sometimes walk long distances to fetch water, this alone can change daily life.

Two teachers also received newly built houses. The gesture was meant to thank them for continuing to teach under difficult conditions. In many rural areas, teachers work with very little support. For some residents, this part of the project meant just as much as the school itself.

The work was done through his charity arm, Beast Philanthropy, which has funded similar projects in other countries, especially in places where clean water is a challenge.

While discussions continue about the reported title of “Chief of Development,” many Ghanaians are paying more attention to the results on the ground as promised, safe classrooms, clean water, and decent housing for teachers.
