British prosecutors announced yesterday that three individuals have been charged in connection with an arson incident that occurred last month involving Jewish community ambulances in north London.
The ambulances were set ablaze on March 23, 2026, an act described by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer as a “deeply shocking antisemitic arson attack.”
According to the SITE Intelligence website, an Iran-aligned militant group known as the Islamic Movement of the People of the Right Hand has claimed responsibility for the attack, which took place near a synagogue in the Golders Green neighborhood.
Counter-terrorism officers are leading the investigation; however, the incident is currently not being classified as terrorism.
The Crown Prosecution Service revealed that the three suspects, aged 20, 19, and 17, have been charged with arson with intent to cause property damage and recklessness regarding potential endangerment to life.
Two of the individuals hold British citizenship, while the third is a dual British-Pakistani national.
The trio is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today.
