Dr. Christine King Farris, the final surviving sibling of civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr., peacefully passed away at the age of 95.  

Her demise occurred on Thursday morning in Atlanta, and she was surrounded by her loved ones during her final moments.  

Dr. Farris was widely respected for her contributions as a scholar, a staunch advocate for civil rights, and a prolific author. The King Center shared the news of her passing, marking the end of an era in the King family’s legacy.
