SWAT Kills Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett’s Security Guard

A deadly police standoff in Texas is raising new questions about how a man with a troubled past was able to work in political security.

Diamon-Mazairre Robinson, 39, who also used the name Mike King, was shot and killed by Dallas SWAT officers on Wednesday night after refusing to surrender.

Police said the situation began when officers tried to stop a vehicle with stolen government license plates. The vehicle was later found in a hospital parking garage, where Robinson locked himself inside and refused to come out.

Officers used tear gas to force him out. But when he came out, police say he was holding a stolen gun. That is when SWAT officers opened fire.

Authorities later said they found 11 weapons in his possession.

Robinson had worked as a security guard for Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett and had also been part of her recent Senate campaign team. His connection to a public office has now become a key part of the story.

Records show Robinson had several past arrests between 2009 and 2017 in different parts of Texas, including Dallas, Irving, and Duncanville. The charges included theft and other offenses.

Despite this, he later built a new identity under the name Mike King. He ran a security business and worked at events, hotels, and even at his church.

Sources say he told people he was a U.S. Capitol Police detective, a claim that drew attention from federal investigators. He was also said to have used a vehicle made to look like an undercover police car.

Police believe he had been under federal investigation before his death.

Reports say his company provided security services for major events, including those linked to the FIFA World Cup activities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Documents show that Crockett’s office paid him for security work, but details about how he was hired or how much he was paid are still not clear.

Her office said all proper steps were followed and that Robinson did not pose any danger to her team.

In a statement after his death, Crockett shared her sadness and spoke about his efforts to change his life. She said he had “worked diligently, coordinated with local law enforcement, and maintained positive relationships throughout the community.”
